Word games: I'm afraid our attempts to communicate with patients are often misunderstood. I would call"very quiet bowel sounds" an observation, not a diagnosis.Perhaps, with the ducolax, s/he assumed you were constipated. Bowel sounds can be active or quiet at different times in the same patient over a period of minutes or hours. By itself, it has no specific meaning. ...Read more
