Why would bowel preps not work? Poor prep with colyte (polyethylene glycol). Now on 2 day prep starting w/ mag. Citrate. No bm after 9 hours. Followed directions exactly!

Likely to interfere: I am not sure any studies have been done to actually confirm the effect of bowel prep on BCP, but anything that significantly alters the diet or digestion, including antibiotics, have been known to interfere with absorption of the pill. Is it okay to take a laxative after being constipated from taking Imodium (loperamide)? tried Stool softeners, but that didn't work.
I've taken laxatives, fiber pills, miralax, (polyethylene glycol) colon cleansers and even enema and still have not had bowel movement. Do i go to the emergency?
