Blood everytime I have bowel movement. Could this be colon cancer?

Blood everytime I have bowel movement. Could this be colon cancer?

It depends : If blood in the stool is red, it may be from a hemorrhoid. This needs to be evaluated and treated, but is fairly common. If the blood or stool is darker (black) and has a 'tar-like' appearance, it is more indicative of a bleed in the upper areas of the GI tract. This is more significant and needs more prompt evaluation and treatment. Seek evaluation by a qualified professional asap to differentiat. ...Read more

I sometimes have rectal pains after a bowel movement ; maybe spasms? Is this normal? Had normal colonoscopy 7 yrs ago. No family history of cancer.

?FISSURE: It's hard to confirm in this forum, but anal spasm can be a sign of anal fissure, a recurring tear in the mucosa of the anal sphincter. It's usually painful, and can be associated with bleeding. I suggest you speak with your doctor, who may refer you to a general or colorectal surgeon for an exam. Good luck. ...Read more

Hello, I've had green stools for awhile and been only having one bowel movement everyday. What can be the reasoning? Scared it's cancer I'm 18.

Green stools: There are many things that can cause stools to be green but the basic cause is the food is passing to quickly thur the intestines. Normally bile makes stool green at the start and a normal transit time lets the stool go from green to yellow to brown. Google green stools and see if any of the causes match with what you are doing. Cancer is low on the list at your age. ...Read more
