Would diverticulitis cause anal pain during bowel movements?

Prob not: Probably not. Usually pain with a bowel movement is the result of either an anal fissure or external hemorrhoid. Neither one is dangerous and both are easily treated. Diverticulitis will usually give a patient fever and abdominal pain. The pain is more constant in nature. I find vegetables undigested after bowel bowel movement. also abdomen pains sometimes.

I find vegetables undigested after bowel bowel movement. also abdomen pains sometimes.

Common: The most common type of food to be seen undigested in the stool is actually vegetables. They often are very high in fibers that we do not have enzymes in our digestive system to degrade them with. The fiber could also be causing gas pains. This can be a very normal finding. If you have accompanying frequent diarrhea, unintentional weight loss, or other stool changes, consult your doctor. ...Read more

Symptoms: dark loose stools, difficult/incomplete evacuation, severe abdominal distention from trapped gas, mucous. Diagnosed IBS. I think Proctitis?

Typical IBS symptoms: As you suspect, these symptoms indeed are consistent with irritable bowel syndrome. But they aren't particularly suggestive of proctitis (inflmmation of the rectum). Inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. Crohn's disease) can cause similar symptoms as IBS, and also can cause proctitis. So I suggest you raise these questions with the doctor who diagnosed IBS then follow her advice. Good luck! ...Read more
