Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I feeling something unusual jus below my left chest which come and goes and mostly its off and I also have bounding pulse all over the body?

Palpitations?: It sounds as though you might be experiencing palpitations. It's very common in young adults. It might be due to skipped or extra heart beats, or it might not be related to your heart at all. Sometimes palpitations can be exacerbated by anxiety, caffeine, or thyroid problems. You might want to check with a physician, especially if you have chest pain, breathing trouble, or fainting.

What causes bounding pulse? Started happening 3 mo ago, getting worse. Feel pulse everywhere, visible heart beat.

See a doctor: It sounds like you feel your heart is pounding, in a way, and that the pulse is palpable everywhere. You say you can see your heart beating in your chest. It would be impossible to offer any assessment of your symptoms on this forum. Please consult a clinician who can conduct a physical examination to offer a proper assessment. Best wishes.

Why do I get a heavy bounding pulse in my neck only when I urinate? It lasts about 30 seconds and goes back to normal

Why do I get a heavy bounding pulse in my neck only when I urinate? It lasts about 30 seconds and goes back to normal

Vagus nerve: When someone strains to urinate it stimulate the vagus nerve and this causes a temporary bradycardia that may make for uncomfortable sensations as your cardiovascular system attempts to adapt to the changes. Some people actually pass out, particularly elderly men. Stay safe!

Possible: If your heart rate was rapid it is possible you may have supraventricular tachycardia. The best way to assess that to get an ECG at the time of symptom or have a holter monitor if it happens again. I suggest to discuss this with a cardiologist.

Bounding pulse at 80bpm? Heartbeat is very visible on chest/stomach. I'm 18

May be normal: It is normal in thin individuals to see / feel your pulse in the upper abdomen. In that case there are no symptoms. It would also be normal to have a bounding pulse with exercise / fever/ anxiety etc. If you have additinal symptoms chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness then further evalaution may be necessary

What can be the causes for a bounding pulse and a recurrent shortness of breath along with constant chest pain.

What can be the causes for a bounding pulse and a recurrent shortness of breath along with constant chest pain.

Chest pain and dyspn: Shortness of breath (SOB) and chest pain with a bounding pulse (forceful palpitation) should get some further evaluation. Given your young age, it is likely benign, but should get an exam to evaluate. Constant chest pain is less likely to be heart related. Consider seeing a cardiologist or primary care physician for further evaluation. Severely worsened symptoms may warrant more urgent evaluation.

I have bounding pulse that is very forceful (Im forcing it too) and sometimes causes nosebleeds. Dr says heart is fine but I'm scared to die what todo?

Keep busy: You are at no immediate risk of dying from what you described. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.

Why is it with minimal activity, my heart races? Ekg normal, I do have strong bounding pulse.

Why is it with minimal activity, my heart races? Ekg normal, I do have strong bounding pulse.

Many possibilities: Heart rate increases to supply more blood to tissues. This can be exaggerated by dehydration; anemia; increased demands - such as infection, endocrine disorders; certain medications; lung disease; circulation disorders; and several others. The most common cause in our society is probably deconditioning. If no other symptoms than fast heart rate, and all else checks out, incr. Exercise.

Can strong bounding pulse cause poor circulation which cause delayed or slow wound healing?

Not a chance: You are 22 and should have strong pulses. This means you do have good circulation and should heal well. If not look for other causes.

Can extreme heat cause a stronger heartbeat? Whenever I go into hot weather I have bad palpitations and a bounding pulse.

Can extreme heat cause a stronger heartbeat? Whenever I go into hot weather I have bad palpitations and a bounding pulse.

Not unusual: Probably nothing to worry about but best to check with your doc to be sure. It will feel good to go home to know that there is nothing wrong. Better be safe and good luck.

Have usual diaphragm pain n breathlessness but worse today. My chest feels heavy wen inhaling, bounding pulse, fatigue, lightheaded n body pain. Idea?

Not usual: Diaphragm pain is not usual. Are you resting well. How much do you exercise? How much caffeine? This may well related to this or to a virus.? See your doctor and get this looked at.

Sometimes my stomach/pelvis randomly pulses. I can see it. No sex for 3 months and 7 negative pregnancy tests. Ideas? I'm terrified of pregnancy.

What are you seeing?: If this is your abdominal aortic pulse, it's normal -- many people never notice it, and it is visible at random times depending on your state of relaxation and your bowel habits. If I've misunderstood, please forgive me.

Are teenage pregnancies higher risk?

Are teenage pregnancies higher risk?

Yes: Pregnant teenagers face different challenges. Medically speaking, they are at higher risk for preterm birth, low birth weight, and increased infant mortality. They also have higher rates of depression and children with delayed cognitive abilities. This doesn't include the huge socioeconomic burden that teenage pregnancy brings to the table.
