Bottom/ large space: The location of your pain needs to be more specific. If it's the ball of the foot consider a neuroma although you are young for this pathology. Ask, why is it just the right? Consider a limb length difference or orthopedic deformity such as crooked toes. Is a callous present? Are you flat-footed? Please submit more detail. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Fell down stairs, was seen. Said I have a sprain. Bottom and top of foot hurt. Shin where I have carpet burn feels warm to touch and numb. No xray.
Be patient: It sounds like you have a bad sprain and some associated numbness where you got the rug burn, and most likely had some superficial nerves damaged in the scrape. If the rug burn starts to get redder and spread, the warmth gets worse, it starts to drain pus, than it may be getting infected, so seek help again in that case. Otherwise, time will heal your wounds. Good luck to you. ...Read more

X-ray: You should be seen by a podiatrist and have a x-ray taken of the foot to first be sure you don't have a jones fracture which is a fracture of the styloid process of the 5th metatarsal which often occurs with these injuries or you could have a lingering insertional peroneus brevis tendinitis which is the tendon that inserts there and got strained with the inversion injury if that's what occurred. ...Read more
I landed on my foot wrong and I thought nothing of it. Now the bottom of my foot hurts and the top is bruised and swollen.
Rice now.: Sounds like you would benefit from the RICE protocol. Rest, Ice , Compression and Elevation. Painful on the bottom and bruised on the top could mean a fracture is possible. See how it feels tomorrow. If the foot still is painful when bearing weight, then you will need an x-ray to verify possible bone trauma. I'm sure a Healthtap specialist can guide you through your care. ...Read more

I landed on my foot wrong and now it hurts to walk and the bottom of my foot hurts and the top is swollen and bruised ? Any help? Fracture?
Be seen: It is hard to say without the benefit of an exam and xray. If it seems like it was mild, you could rest, elevate and ice it. If it seems more severe I would be seen to rule out a more serious injury such as a fracture; particularly if you can not bear weight on it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

There are three bite looking things on the bottom of my foot. They hurt and they are kind of clear and look like they have fluid in them but dont itch?
A Little: Most podiatrists, orthopedists and anesthesiologists use very "small gauge" needles (27 to 30 gauge) when placing local anesthesia.
