Ask who ordered: The test, but in general, they were suspecting EBV infection/Infectious mononucleosis, which looks negative, the final diagnosis is with the doctor who ordered the blood test. Clinical picture is important, finally we treat patients not lab results, good luck ...Read more

Hsv type1 IgG antibdy=0.41, HSV type2 IgG antibdy= 0.41 is this means negative? Helicobactef pylori =3.91, is this transmitted disease too?

Serologies: Am not familiar with the lab values that you are using. Each laboratory may put out differing results depending upon the test they use. Almost everybody (>93%) has hsv in their body. H. Pylori, if you have it, can be easily treated and eliminated. ...Read more

You had mono...: Your mono-like symptoms likely prompted the testing- i hope you are starting to feel a little better. Testing for different antibodies (igm and igg) against ebv, requires careful interpretation. In early phases of infection, the igm level peaks first followed by a decline; levels of igg peak afterwards, and may remain elevated for quite a while. ...Read more

Hepatitis c (HCV) antibody is reactive. The hepatitis C Recombinant Immunoblat Assay(riba) confirmation test is non reactive. Is antibody false positiv

Well : A positive hepatitis C antibody test with a negative or in a test usually is not a false positive that usually means someone had hepatitis C infection and their body cleared the infection and they are now immune to hepatitis C. Do a Healthtap visit or see a primary care physician for specific diagnosis ...Read more

Whats borrelia bugdorferi?

Whats borrelia bugdorferi?

Bacteria causes Lyme: Borrelia burgdorferi is the bacteria that is the causative agent of lyme disease. It has the most complex genome of any bacteria known to man, which contributes to its ability to infect any organ and to mask itself from the immune system and develop resistance to antibiotics. It is most commonly transmitted by ticks but may be transmitted by other biting/stinging insects, sexually & congenitally. ...Read more

Elevated EBV ab VCA IgG <8 and EBV nucleaer antigen ab IgG test 4.2. & anti-dna(ss)igg ab qn ( 119)& c react protien(5.6) what are implications?

Nothing.: Ebv antibodies indicate you had a previous infection, but not active. The c-reactive protein needs a units indicator - that is either normal or somewhat elevated. The anti ss dna is extremely nonspecific and very rarely indicated; I have no idea why that was ordered, discuss with your doctor. ...Read more

? Active infection: It's impossible for me to answer with certainty since i don't know the normal ranges your lab uses. If early ag & vca igm are elevated above normal this indicates active ebv infection.I don't know if it is acute or chronic without knowing your history. If chronic i see that as a sign of poor immune function.Immune-boosting herbs/supplements & IV vit c drips may help, but find why immunity is poor. ...Read more

Hiv ab,1/2, eia with relx result repeatedly reactive. HIV 1/2ab differentiation w/refl hiv1 antibody negative hiv2 antibody negative. pos or neg hiv?

It depends: In a situation like this you have one positive test and one negative test. The lab should run a tie-breaker test (HIV RNA) to give you a real answer. Also, the first test may be an older test 2nd or 3rd generation) instead of the latest 4th generation) test. It also depends on if you have flu-Like symptoms. Seek help from a specialist in HIV who can help you understand. ...Read more

EBV early antigen Ab, IgG <9; EBV Eb, VcA, IgG >600; EBV nuclear antigen Ab IgG 108. Diagnossed with CAEBV infection. Does this sound right to you?

Maybe.: The profile is of a past infection. I am not sure if it can be diagnosed just by symptoms and evidence of past infection. I think you would need the second criteria of diagnosis which is DNA of EBV in peripheral tissue or blood detectable through PCR test with a low anti-EA. What happens if "h. pylori IgG antibodies serum by ELISA positive"?

H. pylori infection: .. which causes gastritis with symptoms of early satiety, abdominal pain, heartburn. If you are symptomatic, then you will need the treatment. If you are not symptomatic or have responded to treatment already, then your test result indicates ongoing antibody production (normal immune response to previous infection) and no treatment is required. Good luck! ...Read more

No it just means: You had chickenpox previously. It is not dangerous at all . The IGm is what tell that you have reactivated and then it is called shingles. You can't have shingles if you did not have chickenpox before. ...Read more

What does a high EBV viral nuclear capsid antibody, a high EBV viral capsid antibody IgG and a high IgM EBV viral capsid antibody mean, what's it mean?

Likely immunity,,: You've got antibodies to the ebv which likely means you were infected at some time in your life and you recovered and now your body has circulating antibodies to it. An igg antibody in particular indicates long term resistance. This virus usually causes asymptomatic infection so you probably fought it off and weren't aware of it. Best of luck. ...Read more

What is the toxoplasma IgG and IgM antibody test?

You've met it: When one meets the toxoplasmosis organism (mild flu-like or no illness), IgM usually appears and may stay around for as long as 18 months. Igg will also appear and usually stay for life, suggesting you overcame the creatures. However, they may still be alive and dormant, to re-emerge should you become immunocompromised. ...Read more
