Put into capsules: Boric acid is usually used as suppositories & is very effective. You can make your own "suppositories" by putting the powder into empty capsules and inserting 2 vaginally every nite at bedtime. Only use 2% concentration or less. Candida diet: Diets that are low in sugar and carbohydrates but high in raw garlic and probiotics can help keep yeast infections at bay. I have a persistent, non-albicans vaginal yeast infection. I have been treated with itracanazole and boric acid. Are there any other treatments?

Candida: This depends entirely on the species of Candida and its potential sensitivity to antifungals. You must also be aware that difficulty in elimination of Candida may be a manifestation of immune deficiency. Have you been tested for HIV? See an infectious diseases expert. Good luck. ...Read more

Me= yeast infection for 3 mos. Tried creams, boric acid, Candida diet, probiotics, garlic, etc. Taking iron pills 4 anemia- could that be feeding it?

Yeast infection: You do not say whether you have used anti-fungals in your treatment, either topically or orally. That is the best way to treat Candida vulvovaginitis. Iron is highly unlikely to have anything to do with this. If you persist despite this you may be being reinfected by your sexual partner and they could be treated as well. If still an issue make sure your immune system is intact. Good luck. ...Read more

CAN I USE BORIC ACID SUPPOSITORIES WITH AN MIRENA (levonorgestrel) IUD? for ongoing and constant UTI INFECTION AND YEAST INFECTIONS THAT PERSIST
