Finally found boric acid (after 4 stores) for my yeast infection, it is in powder form, how do I use it?

Put into capsules: Boric acid is usually used as suppositories & is very effective. You can make your own "suppositories" by putting the powder into empty capsules and inserting 2 vaginally every nite at bedtime. Only use 2% concentration or less. Can you eat popcorn on a Candida diet?I'm on the diet b/c I've had a yeast infection for 3 mon, can't take fluconazole, & tried creams & boric acid.

Candida diet: Diets that are low in sugar and carbohydrates but high in raw garlic and probiotics can help keep yeast infections at bay. Herbal supplements such as Pau D'Arco (tincture or capsule form) or the Candida-Cleanse by SolaRay may be helpful. Popcorn does breakdown to a simple carbohydrate but overall is relatively low in sugar. ...Read more

I have a persistent, non-albicans vaginal yeast infection. I have been treated with itracanazole and boric acid. Are there any other treatments?

Candida: This depends entirely on the species of Candida and its potential sensitivity to antifungals. What is more, sometimes it may be difficult to eliminate Candida without co-treatment of your sexual partner. You must also be aware that difficulty in elimination of Candida may be a manifestation of immune deficiency. Have you been tested for HIV? See an infectious diseases expert. Good luck. ...Read more

Me= yeast infection for 3 mos. Tried creams, boric acid, Candida diet, probiotics, garlic, etc. Taking iron pills 4 anemia- could that be feeding it?

Yeast infection: You do not say whether you have used anti-fungals in your treatment, either topically or orally. That is the best way to treat Candida vulvovaginitis. Iron is highly unlikely to have anything to do with this. If you persist despite this you may be being reinfected by your sexual partner and they could be treated as well. If still an issue make sure your immune system is intact. Good luck. ...Read more

How to get rid of a bacterial infection in the vagina that's been going on for over a year? Tried a Yeast/BV med twice, and am now using boric acid.

Good steps: The key is a proper diagnosis. If BV is the problem then there are a variety of treatment protocols for recurrent cases. One trick is to use Nuvaring for birth control. It stabilizes the vaginal ph to 3.5-5.5 which keeps yeast and BV away. This is a nice and not commonly well known side effect. ...Read more

Could I have excess acid ; i experience gurgling in stomach and pain especially at night, burping and farting alot, diarrhoea and a yeast infection?

Probably other cause: This does not sound like excess acid. Your symptoms are more indicative of imbalances of intestinal flora- you might have intestinal parasites and/or yeast overgrowth. You might also have irritable bowel syndrome and food sensitivities like gluten sensitivity or lactose intolerance. See http://www.Huffingtonpost.Com/dr-mark-hyman/yeast-infection-symptoms_b_657354.Html try avoiding dairy & gluten. ...Read more

Yeast medication: You can try time and your immune system as well as limiting sugar and yeast in your diet, but typically, due to discomfort, patients prefer medication.
