Difficult question: This is an interpersonal question and i don't know that there's really a direct answer to this without evaluating both you and the other person involved. When two people interact what occurs is called an emergent property that may or may not be present when the two of you are separated. I can tell you that it is not normal for that scenario that you described to occur. There's not enough information however to diagnose the other person involved nor would it be ethical in this context.
