Bony Growth On Clavicle
My 12 year old daughter has an odd bony growth at the end of her clavicle where it meets the sternum. It feels like a bony overgrowth that sticks out. It is about the size of a pencil eraser and can be seen sticking out through the skin. It is not painfu
Left clavicle is enlarged at the first half and then a inch size bony bump close to the end of the clavicle, can this be corrected/shaved down?
No: It is what it is. Strengthening the muscles around your clavicle (pecs, neck muscles, deltoids) can make them appear less bony. ...Read more

X-ray of an undiagnosed healed clavicle fracture showed bony bump formed very close to the coracoid, causing sharp pain during sleep. Any suggestions?
Sharp pain during: sleep would unlikely be linked solely to a bone bump. One must asses the soft tissue structures near that region as well as the joints close to that region, and the ligments that hold the clavicle, the coracoid and the acromion in reaaltionship to each other., as a start. The bone bump may ne a so called red herring, a finding that is not realted to the real issue or can indirectly linked. ...Read more

A sudden onset of pain and bony bulge felt at back, below neck, at level T1, between shoulder blades, with pain radiating towards chest. What is dx?
The sudden onset: Of your pain, combined with the fact that you describe it as a hard, bony-like bulge makes this diagnosis more challenging. Collection of adipose/fatty tissue in this region is not uncommon, but that would be neither suddenly painful nor "bony." A bone spur can develop in this location, but no sudden pain. Trauma? Not typical. Needs in person evaluation with Doc/Spine specialist. Good wishes:) ...Read more

I noticed a bony lump on the top of my left shoulder bone. Not paining but it's grinding when rotate the shoulder. I lift weights. Cause for worry?
Prob AC joint: The AC joint is on the top of your shoulder, about 2 inches from the outside edge. I suspect this is what is bothering you. It is easily irritated by repetitive movement and strain. It would take an exam to know exactly where your problem is. Back off on your lifting and try some ibuprofen. If it doesn't go away, see your doctor. ...Read more
My 7 year old has a bony lump near his clavical he had an xray and lots of dif doctors looked at it and told me to wait 4 results im so worried help?
Lump on or near clav: It would be common for a 7yo to have a crack in the clavicle from simple trauma and a lump to form over the bony area. Such cracks build a onion like healing knob that disappears over months to years & requires no special rx. That bone is one of the most often broken by humans. A lymph node can also be a lump near a clavicle & seldom a pbm in kids. None of what u say brings thoughts of bad news. ...Read more
