Plantar Fasciitis: Conservative treatments of plantar fasciitis consist of stretching and icing, physical therapy, night splints, orthotics and cortisone injections. There are other types of therapy, such as PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections and therapies to stimulate healing through your own bodies natural processes. If these fail, surgery is an option, but will permanently destabilize your arch. ...Read more

Can epidural steroid injections for back pain cause bone deterioration?

Can epidural steroid injections for back pain cause bone deterioration?

Steroid: Too much steroid can cause osteoporosis no matter where it is placed. Oral, IV or epidural steroid may increase chance of osteoporosis. The amount of steroid used in epidural injection for a herniated disk is less than the amount of steroid consumed as a Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack taken orally to treat the same symptoms. Generally, though, we do not recommend more than 3 steroid injections in 6 months. ...Read more

Doctors say that I should get injection in my back bone, iz this a right way for treatment? I cannot sit and bend.? Plz tell me solution.?

Many Possibilities: Depending on how long it's been going on, I would consider an evaluation by a spine specialist. Sometimes it could be a muscle imbalance, early onset arthritis or scoliosis. Also could be a pinched nerve/herniated disc. Either way it might be good to figure it out and get appropriate treatment. Depending on why your back hurts can determine which injection maybe helpful. ...Read more

With high MCH and MCV and hematokrit is there safe with ferritin injection? It is recommended after low ferritin in bone marrow and prescription to tablet

Not clear: The question is not entirely clear. A high MCV and MCH anemia is not usually due to iron defiency alone. Therefore, other factors may be leading to anemia, and iron will not treat the other cause (s). As to safety, iron infusions are usually safe, but rarely there are severe reactions. Therefore, iron infusions should never be considered until other types of treatments have not worked. ...Read more

Usually: Osteogenesis imperfecta is a disorder of brittle bones. There is an abnormality in collagen 1 function, and so you are not able to make bones or other connective tissue structures correctly. Easy imaging...: It sounds like you are referring to a three phase bone scan (flow, blood pool, and delayed images). Early images can provide more information depending on what your condition is. Got kidney removed 20 days b4 so the Injection given b4 Bone scan is it safe n whatever given through injection is tht excreated from body easily??

Yes...: The tracer which is given for bone scan is Technetium 99m MDP and it is excreted by the kidneys. The tracer is a radionuclide and has a physical half life of about 6 hours. This means that even if you had no kidneys, half of the tracer would have decayed by 6 hours. If you have kidney function, this will accelerate washout of tracer from your body and more than half will be gone by 6 hours. ...Read more
