I have a bone bruise on the outside of my ankle, and i was wondering if it was normal for my foot to go numb and tingle? My ankle will sometimes too

Yes and no: I would not say it is normal, but rather it can be seen with the type of injury you are describing. A bruise to the bone can cause localized soft tissue swelling in the area in which the nerves pass. This may cause a radiating pain, numbness or pins and needle sensation in the ankle and foot. If it does not resolve, you should be checked. Thank you for the question. ...Read more
