Boils and infections: Most common explanation:you are colonizing Staphylococcus, could be regular Staph or MRSA. After an adequate treatment course of antibiotics you should consider decolonization. If not better, get your immune system checked to make sure you don't have an immune deficiency (See immunologist). Get a culture of the boils to identify the bacteria. If these are recurrent is possibly caused by staph bacteria and increasingly more common a specific type of staph bacteria called MRSA (methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus).
