Yes, at the back, --: If its swollen for any reason. Generally ribs do not swell, unless growing a cyst or a tumor in it. These are extremely uncommon, to say the least. A healing fracture off a bone could be felt as a swelling. These are located at the back , on either side of the spine and covered by plenty of muscles.
