Boil Filled With Blood
On my right inner thigh I get 6-7 boil type bumps, usually filled with blood, no pus and they scar purple and are always re-appearing.
Hidradenitis: Hidradenitis suppurativa is an condition found in this area in which apocrine glands become inflamed. Sinus tracts and cysts can develop as a result. Flareups are treated with oral and topical antibiotics. In severe recurrent cases, the problem areas can be removed by plastic surgeons. Minimizing friction by wearing comfortable clothing is recommended. See a dermatologist to check for this. ...Read more
See below: Boils are caused by bacteria, usually Staphylococcus aureus, that often normally reside on and colonize the skin. When the bacteria enter a break in the skin or travel down a hair follicle, a boil occurs. Good hygiene; avoiding shaving and chafing of the scrotum, wearing clean and breathable underwear to minimize moisture and heat, and use of an antibacterial soap can all be preventative. ...Read more

Liquefaction: If you had a boil and now it appears to have blood inside, it's quite possible the germs have caused some localized liquefaction or damage to the tissues. I wonder also if you may have squeezed it and caused some localized trauma. These boils can become worse, so you may need to see a doctor for that to get some antibiotics and or surgical (lancing) treatment. Staph causes alot of these BTW. ...Read more
I have large boils. Busted one with brownish green blood pus and had foul odor. Should I be worried? Have holes from others too.
A boil is a localized collection of pus and bacteria. This requires drainage and, often, antibiotics.
As staph is extremely common, delay in treatment is not recommended as it can spread. A simple procedure (incision and drainage) can be performed to remove the collection of pus and antibiotics is usually started by mouth. ...Read more
See the doctor: The presence of puss means that there was an infection, and it still may be present. You want to have a proper i;d of that wound and after an examination, you may or may not be started on antibiotics depending on the presentation. Don't treat it yourself. ...Read more
Is a lot of blood coming out of a boil normal for a 1 year old? This isn't the first one she has had but the first like this.
Why do I keep getting boils on my bottom. There really painful and I also have these kind of spots with blood in and after there squeezed it weeps?
Wrong treatments: Recurrent infections mean that the original infections were not eradicated or you keep exposing the area to the same causes. If recurrent, then you may have chronically infected cysts which need removal. Simply opening them does not get rid of the infected parts. Squeezing is bad as it "injects" the infection deeper into the tissues. A surgeon needs to help get rid of these. Enough antibiotics! ...Read more

Perianal abscess: You are describing a perianal abscess and anorectal fistula. This can result in a "fistula" or passage way between the inside of the anus and the surrounding skin> recurrent boils. See> http://wb. Md/1l6AWX1 ...Read more
Drainage: A boil that opens by itself and drains may heal on its own. Likely there is some pus mixed with the bloody drainage, although it may not be obvious. Best to keep the area clean and see the doctor if the surrounding area is red, swollen or painful or if the wound is not healing. ...Read more
