Doctor insights on:
Body Twitches Randomly
Warrants a visit: While widespread muscle twitching is most likely due to a harmless process such as caffeine intake, benign fasciculations, or overexertion, it can be associated with more dangerous processes. See your doctor to look for any associated signs such as weakness, numbness, stiffness, or abnormal reflexes. If these are present, a visit to the neurologist may well be usedful.

Brain tumor unlikely: However more information is needed to evaluate you, including a detailed history, physical examination and may be lab tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor as not much more can be done in this forum.See 1 more doctor answer

My 18 yr old daughter was in a minor car accident a cple of wks ago complained of her neck hurting a little & now she is having random body twitches.
Have her checked: It is hard to say whether this is related to the car accident or not. Have her checked or take a video and send it to her MD. Sometimes the trauma of an accident can cause our bodies to do unusual things. All the best to you and your daughter.
What causes muscle twitches (random body wide) and weak feeling? Had for 3 years daily. Blood work normal.
Hard to say,,,: This is hard to pinpoint without more of an idea of your daily activities and such. For example, this could easily be due to drinking coffee daily, especially if you're sensitive to it. It might be from stress, like financial and family issues along with those of health. Rarely it can be neurological or muscular, so more info might be needed. It might help to see a neurologist. Best of luck.
Exam: You must be examined and tested.Get a more detailed answer ›
I recently started feeling random twitching in random parts of my body. Also panic attacks before the twitching. Not sure if serious but concerns me.
Evaluation: I would recommend that you see your PCP and or see a psychiatrist. It is possible that it is all anxiety related but there could be other medical issues. Also, it might be helpful to do some lab work. What is your overall stress level? Have you experienced a major stressor recently? It is common to have physical symptoms with anxiety.
I get a heartbeat like twitching in different parts of my body. It will just start randomly start moving and I cand stop it, only lasts for a min-ish?
Odd: That's an odd symptom. I don't know what to make of it. I suggest you wear a 24 hour recorder (holter) and record when your symptoms occur so that your heart rhythm can be correlated to see if it's heart rhythm related.
I have had body shakes at night and random twitching for 14 months now. Was decreasing then I got flu in July. Since then left cheek twitch persist?
Cheek twitching: This can occur due to a variety of causes. You need to be evaluated by your physician who can then order the appropriate tests and/or referrals.
I'm having random twitching all over body, mainly while I'm resting, also crawling sensation mostly thighs/head. I'm healthy I don't have other symptoms. I have IBS tho
It's really common: Muscle twitching is common, especially associated with too much coffee, stress or not enough sleep. Anxiety is probably the biggest cause. Muscle cramping caused by over-exertion or dehydration can also be the problem. People worry that they might have ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease, but it is actually VERY uncommon. I suspect the crawling sensation is also benign. See doctor if it persists/progresses.
I'm 20 having continuous random twitching all over body for the last 1-2 months am I fine? Sleep schedule is kinda messed, some anxiety and I take vitamins but nothing? I'm 20 years old.
Sleep schedule: I think you hit on it yourself. If your sleep schedule is erratic it is not too surprising that you are having these physical symptoms. Of course getting back on a regular schedule is the key. However, if not, you can try a few "tricks". Spend only sleep time in your bedroom, avoid stimulants (coffee) near bedtime (this may be part of the problem if you're trying to stay awake), etc. Good Luck
Random muscle twitching, tingling/crawling sensation mainly on head, beard, legs, goes around body sometimes, I used to have skipped beats but potassium seems to help. It's humid here and it comes/goes
Here are some...: If you've reasonably adopted and adapted to the cluster of described symptoms from whatever your life and body might have brought to you, leave these alone and tensely focus on practicing quality healthy lifestyle without overindulgence & obsession. Hopefully, over time, your general well-being will take shape in your favor. More? Go to http://www. Formefirst. Com/eNewsletter06.html, . ... Best wish.
See neurologist.: You need to consult a neurologist to see what's going on.
Fasciculation: The description you mentioned is called fasciculation. This is most likely the symptoms of benign fasciculation which does not have any negative impact on your health other than being nuisance. However, you need to be watchful for any h muscle weakens, difficulty of speech, difficulty of swallowing. This could be sign of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
