How about video?: Sudden jerks while falling asleep is considered a normal phenomenon but you seem to be describing something a bit different than that which only requires a bit of movement then, off to sleep from there? How about if you could just set up a camera phone on your nightstand and see if you can't capture an episode of these shakes/tremors. Anxiety: Yes this could be symptoms of anxiety or other disorder. Be sure you are living a healthy lifestyle without alcohol, drugs, or smoking, and eating a healthy diet. Are you having high stress symptoms? Normal periods and normal weight?

Pain I get but...: I'm trying to get a visual on this...so help me out a bit...I can understand how you could detect pain in your shoulders after sleeping. How do you know you've got tremors in BOTH shoulders when you're actually asleep. Does somebody tell you that's happening? If so, do they have a hard time waking you up or don't they try? Doubt it is: Of significance. This is most likely muscle spasm. It may be nerve irritability. I would not get too worries as of yet. I would see your doctor if it persists. It is not usually a forerunner of more to come.

Possibly RLS: If you have an urge to move your legs, worse at night (close to bedtime), a "creepy, crawling" sensation, ; the feelings get worse with rest and are better with movement, it may be restless legs syndrome (rls). Stop caffeine: This may be benign essential tremor, which is annoying but not dangerous. Caffeine makes tremor worse. If you drink caffeine, try stopping.
