If your body temperature is 94.8 after taking temperature under arm when you first wake up in morning could that mean low thyroid?

Why would my face, forehead and arms be hot like a fever, but my body temperature is only 98.1. What doesn't add up and how to fix it? Thank you

See a doctor: Without the ability to take a full history and examine you it is nearly impossible to answer this question. Flushing of the face can be due to many different things without affecting your core body temperature. If it persists, please see your local family doctor. ...Read more

When I do under arm temperature do I have to do +1 or if it shows 98 stay the same?

When I do under arm temperature do I have to do +1 or if it shows 98 stay the same?

Add 1+ judgement: When you measure temperature under the arm it is called ancillary temperature. You add one. However use judgement for measuring temp. If you feel malaise and unwell then expect the axillary temp to be elevated. There are more accurate temp settings like temporal artery and auditory canal. Be well. ...Read more

What is a normal temperature when taken under the arm for an adult? The person is suffering from upset stomach, burning when when peeing, headache, cough, stuffed up nose, chest congestion, temp under arm is 101.5 but when taken by mouth it ranged from 10

Temp: Axillary(arm pit) temperatures are not very accurate. The question of fever is probably mute since you describe symptoms of infection where a fever would not be unexpected anyway. You are describing flu like symptoms for the most part. The burning when peeing could be from a urine infection though. Not knowing the patients age or other medical problems, it is probably a good idea to see a doc. ...Read more

I seem to have a rash that moves to different parts of my body. Usually under arm, or in groin area, and sometimes a red line near it.?

Moving rash: The armpit and groin are naturally moist, but also normally home to benign yeast, fungi and bacteria. This may be nothing to be worried about, but it can be a sign of diabetes. Diabetics are prone to infections. Other immune suppressors can also do this, so time for a check at a primary care provider more then a simple answer on line. Check it out to be safe. ...Read more
