A body lift is performed to remove unwanted/excessive amounts of loose fat and skin. It is done to improve the shape and tone of the underlying tissues. Significant weight gain contributes to loose, inelastic skin. Consequently, patients who have significant weight loss tend to be candidates for these types of procedures.

Over 265 past 15 yrs: Since 1997, my partner and I have done over 265 outpatient lower body lifts, removing as much as 31 lbs of loose skin/fat. Most surgeons require 1-3 day hospital stay, but our anesthesia and surgical techniques allow safe recovery at home. Surgical book chapter in press.
