Hair loss, otherwise known as alopecia, can be caused by different reasons, including damage to the hair shaft or follicles or fungal infections. There are two main types of alopecia. Alopecia areata occurs when the body's immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair to fall out. Androgenetic (or androgenic) alopecia, on the other hand, is an inherited form of hair loss. With alopecia areata, hair can fall out in patches all over the body. With androgenetic alopecia, hair on the head first thins and then falls out. In men, this is called male pattern hair loss; in women, it is called ...Read more

Please explain process of how some meds can cause hair loss? What exactly do the meds do to the body or hair follicles?
Quick dividing cells: Rapidly dividing cells are sometimes impacted with medications that tried to stop cells that are replicating inappropriately, such as medicines used to treat cancer. That's why cancer patients suffer with hair loss and also with problems with their gastrointestinal tract, because those organs are turning over rapidly and are impacted with chemotherapy. ...Read more

Took cytomel 5 weeks don't have thyroid problem noticed hair loss so I stopped how long will it take for my body to go back to normal?
(fortunately) is fast acting and quickly eliminated (a lot sooner than other forms of thyroid hormone. Your perscribing Health Professional can "measure" your return to normal function by following your TSH levels.
I would allow at least 4 weeks for the effects of Cytomel to be negligible.
Hope this is helpful

Chronic all-body inflammation, 11.5. The Highest scale on the test, 4.9. Can't take nsaids, steroids cause hair loss. What other med is there for this?
Hard to help: I assume that the test you are referring to is the HS-CRP. While that does mark inflammation it's quite nonspecific. It can be elevated from chronic diseases(like vascular or obesity) or from autoimmune processes or from infections to name a few. But before you contemplate steroids, you want to have an idea of what is actually being treated. More info is necessary to better guide you. ...Read more

Never take meds unless necessary, but doc suggested vit. D and biotin forte (hair loss due to recent illness, but recovered) can these 2 help my body?
Yes and No: Taking vitamin D supplements is helpful to most people, because most people do not get enough vitamin D (either from their food and drink, or from sunlight). Taking biotin doesn't help a normal person who already has eats a balanced diet. There is enough biotin for essentially everyone who eats a healthy diet. Very rarely is anyone deficient in biotin. ...Read more

Telegen effluvium : This is the most likely explanation and probably relates to your illness or possibly Rx.
