Why worry : The common buckle fracture is not displaced, does not reduce the integrity of the bone and all heal well.They can still hurt like crazy. Leave the kid alone and let him/her resume activity when the hurt subsides. Pain tends to subside after the first week & soon after you may have trouble keeping the kid from battering the cast off. ...Read more

Layers of dead skin cells that are normally sloughed during one's daily routine have piled up and are revealed as these skin "sheets". Ankle fracture: Usually for an operated fractured ankle, there needs to be outside stability as well as internal stability around the fracture. This means a splint/cast until fracture healing is deemed satisfactory. It is different for all patients.
