I have body aches everywhere that get worst when moving. I've had it for 1 week now. I am stressed all the time. Could it be serious?

The discomfort can be muscular, neurological, due to a primary process affecting muscles, bones or joints, and may be overtly inflammatory or not. Not usually: Steroids generally suppress inflammation which is often the source of pain, and therefore the pain is diminished. Steroids can also, depending on the doses and duration of administration, produce destruction to muscle tissues and that may (but not commonly) create pain. Go back to doctor: This is probably unrelated to the metformin, but best to have your pcp or endocrinologist examine you and make a determination of causal relationships face to face.
