However, if wet hair makes a woman not sleep well, or if it makes her sleep in a strange head/neck position, she could be tired and moody by morning. Muscle spasm?: Chest pain can occur with low blood pressure. If during your period you have low blood pressure your blood pressure medications could make BP go too low and cause pain. That would be easy to check. Muscle spasm could cause such a pain. Low potassium or magnesium may predispose to that. Consider changing life style to normalize blood pressure. ...Read more

Get an OBGYN consult: It sounds like you need to visit your OB/GYN right away. You may need to have a cervical exam, pap, r/o uterine process such as fibroids or endometriosis. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) should be working better so best that your OB/GYN rules out contraindications and makes sure your symptoms are better controlled. Probable hormonal: It is unusual to have a true fever during a menses but not uncommon to have hot flashes and sensitivity in warm environs. This is often called PMS. The culprit is hormonal changes and diminished estrogen, most likely. Normal control of your cycle with birth control pills typically will resolve this as well other options.
