Go back to Doctor: First have the doctor check that the prescription in the lenses is that same that they gave you. It is possible that the lens were not made properly. Second have them check that the lenses are mounted in the frames correctly. Finally if these are both fine, then have them redo the eye exam and check if they get the same result. Perhaps your vision is blurred because you need something more than just artificial tear but then I don't understand how you could have 20/20 vision if the vision were indeed blurred until this degree of visual acuity is only present intermittently. Various causes: Optical (wrong Rx for glasses) is e VERY uncommon cause of a painful eye. Type of pain is helpful to figure out a cause. Sharp-foreign body or dryness. Pain on movement--optic neuritis, trauma? Dull/sharp. Front of eye/back of eye?
