Blurry Spot In One Eye
Shooting pain on one spot on my head that comes out of nowhere and at the same time my vision gets blurry. Wasn't injured so what can be causing this?
Hard to say: The usual question that people are concerned about is whether this might be a manifestation of a brain tumor or an aneurysm. This is not the usual presentation for these entities. However, it is a good idea to observe this and take notes that you can present to your doctor to help him/her figure this out. The nature of the pain, the blurred vision-what brings it on, how long does it last etc.?
What would cause episodes of various lines and spots in the vision of one eye? Some bright, blurring, others seem to have a hint of various colors
In regards to retinal detachment, symptoms are red eye, blurry vision, black spots and lights, pain at times, noticeable dimness all in one eye only
Guarded Prognosis: Pain and red eye usually aren't associated with retinal detachment unless it is chronic or unless the eye has inflammation and the detachment is caused by a fluid build-up instead of a hole. Given your history there are other things that can dim vision, such as a blocked vessel. You should be carefully evaluated by a retina specialist to optimize your chances of recovery. Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
PROMPT EVAL: Recommend Ophthalmology evaluation to determine diagnosis and to formulate treatment plan.
I have a small blurry spot in my vision that stays in the same spot. Saw an ophthalmologist who said my eyes were healthy. Should I seek 2nd opinion?
Many causes: You need to have this checked because there are many possible causes of this. A new floater is a common cause, but the floater would tend to move around and not be exactly in the center of the vision. All other causes are mostly involving the retina, so a dilated eye exam by an ophthalmologist is indicated. Even if it just a floater, the dilated exam is indicated to rule out a retinal tear.
I am seeing a black spot in one of my eyes when I close them. It's always in the same spot, and never appears in the light. It disappears in seconds.
Exam: It's difficult to know for sure, but an exam would be most helpful in your case. Subtle grayish spots that move with eye movements are usually vitreous floaters & are seen in the light. You describe that you don't notice this spot in light, but presumably when you turn off the lights. This may represent some subtle changes in the retina or could be just after image which dissipates quickly. Exam.
Retina: I would get this checked. I would be concernef about a retinal or retinal artery problem
My son is telling me that he has a blurry black spot in the corner of his left eye what should I do?
Had staples in head 6 mos ago a week ago I fell hitting the same spot and now just hall of one eye remains bloodshot is this a symptom of anything?
Pika,: Probably not related, unless the staples are above your eye.
Should move.: This is from a posterior vitreous detachment. The gel inside your eyes, vitreous, has partially liquefied & is pulling away from the retina which lines the back of your eye. This is a normal with aging. This causes floaters. The only concern is if it begins to pull on the retina & tears it. Retinal tears can lead to retinal detachment & blindness. Go to your doctor immediately if you start to.See 1 more doctor answer
I was exposed to a laser beam to my eye for like 1-2secondes. I can feel that I have a blind spot on one of my eyes. Its been 2 days and the spot has n?
Caution: Lasers are powerful light sources and the eye has not evolved to defend itself against this light source. It sounds like you have overexposed a small portion of your retina and may have damaged or destroyed a few of the light receptors. You should seek out a retinal specialist to evaluate this who can estimate the prognosis but there is no actual treatment since this is physical damage.
I have a headache only on one spot on my head. On the left side above my eye. It's a sharp pain and last a few minutes at a time. Pain behind left eye?
I keep on seeing a floater in my one eye, like a grey spot that moving, and lately is see like a shooting star. .. What can this be?
Particle in vitreous:
Almost all people have some floaters. These may be remnants of blood vessels from the time of development of the eye. If you get new floaters it would be imperative to see an ophthalmologist.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
I think I have a cystic pimple on my cheek. There is one small hard spot surrounded by swelling up to my eye. How do I get the swelling to go down??
Cystic pimple: Could be a range of reasons: Send photo to diagnose you properly & find right treatment. For now put a hot cuetip or fingertip with out burning the skin and gently push on pimple without popping it. We can show you on video how to do this if questions. Likely oil glands are clogged & causing pimple.
I have floaters and started seeing a green spot in my left eyes vision and a red one in my right eye. I only see them when looking to my left or right?
Floaters to look for: Floaters are usually nothing to worry about -- most people have some. But they can be a sign of inflammation in the eye or sometimes a sign of a retinal tear. If they are worsening or associated with lightning-like flashes of light then they should be checked out. Or if you are seeing lights in the center of your vision with floaters, that should be checked by an ophthalmologist as well.See 2 more doctor answers
Why is my brother's eye blood shot red on one spot? He can't talk and we have no insurance but it don't seem like he's in pain.
Having watery, cloudy eyes for about a week. Now, pressure in one spot on top of head toward the back, and felling of swollen sinuses. Cause? ER?
I have a cream colored spot at the bottom of the inside lower eye lid. I had one near the tear duct and it ended up being basil cell, any worries?
Lesion on eyelid: Questions to answer are: how long has it been present, is it growing in size, is there any loss of eyelashes, are any abnormal appearing blood vessels present, does it bleed spontaneously and finally, is it behaving like the previous spot? Because your history of skin cancer you should make an appointment to be seen by an Ophthalmologist/Oculoplastic surgeon for further evaluation and management.
