Yes & no: Yes it is normal to get severe cramping with period. Blurry vision should be checked out to see if there is an underlying cause: see eyeMD. Hot flashes & chills could be to hormonal swings during period (likely normal) but if you have a fever, see your PCP. ...Read more

Shall I check for diabetes? Weakness fatigue sometimes get very hungry/start in 2011 had attack feeling dizzy/blurred vision/nausea/hot flashes

Opinion from your Dr: Your symptoms could certainly part of a presenting complex for diabetes. You left out a couple of other symptoms but if you are saying that these symptoms are getting worse or added to since 2011 then, a check up is certainly in order. ...Read more

I've been eating a lot a sugar for a few weeks an now I am having hot flashes and and blurred vision I am a teenager and take birth control.

Also: Get Eye Exam: Blurred vision can be a result of retinal vein occlusions that are increased in patients on oral Estrogens or birth control pills. I would recommend a dilated retinal examination to evaluate for possibility of other causes of the blurring. This should be combined with glycohemoglobin level, fasting blood glucose and also lipid panel and liver function tests. ...Read more

I might have MS because im getting crazy symtoms like I start to get a hot flash like im sweating but im not blurry vision, loss balance, hearing loss,

Not necessarily: Although nobody will be able to 100% counter your hypothesis to;; you're tested by MRI & examined neurologically- the first thing I think of when someone says they feel a "hotflash" is something hormonal not demyelinating. But again, who knows? I agree your symptoms warrant an examination. Why not start there and leave the diagnosis for when all the testing is in and you've been seen? Good luck. ...Read more

Temple pain and blurred vision with headaches for 16 days. Hot compress feels good makes vision much worse. Why?

Heat slows nerves: Please get an eye exam if not done already. Tough to answer not knowing the cause of the headaches. But if the blurred vision is due to a problem with your optic nerve behind the eye, then applying heat would make vision worse because heat slows down nerve signals. So please see your doctor to make sure you do not have a condition called optic neuritis. ...Read more

Do I have astigmatism? I have been seeing flashing lights in my vision (for a year now) and now I am starting to get a blurred vision in my right eye; starting from the outside corner. My school nurse had me flush my eye out this morning but that only hel

Astigmatism: Astigmatism is due to the shape of the eye and is usually present at a young age. This problem sounds more acute to me and I would seek the advise of an ophthamologist at this point. You need a good retinal exam to rule out why the outside corner of the eye is blurred. The fact that you have flashing lights is a retinal symptom and not astigmatism. You may have a retinal tear or detachment and this should be checked asap. It might be vitrerous floaters which is a benign condition, but this is not astigmatism. Ask your gp for the name of a general ophthalmogist and when you call alert the staff to your symptoms. Best of luck. ...Read more

Lumps in neck hard for over a year now and moving soft ones one left side of neck and pressure behind left ear white flashes and blurred vision in eye?

See your doctor: Lymph nodes that are moveable are normal, but hard lumps in neck needs to be checked out by physical exam by your doctor, especially if it causes you to see white flashes, and have blurred vision. There may be something going on that you're unaware of, that the doctor needs to work up further with lab tests, or possibly referring you to an ophthalmologist to find out the cause of your blurred eyes. ...Read more
