Need urinalysis : Many possibilities exist from nothing important to serious kidney disease like wegners or goodpastures. If rbcs or proteins noted in urine, need to see a nephrologist. Would not waste effort looking it up. Need to see a doc to have urinalysis and simple blood tests. ...Read more

Losing the mucus plug at week 35 and it's bloody is that a bad sign?

Losing the mucus plug at week 35 and it's bloody is that a bad sign?

No: I haven't found that mucous plug is a good predictor of when a woman goes into labor. Women lose it at 35 weeks all the time and then go on to deliver weeks and weeks later. If you're having contractions or bleeding, definitely go to l&d, but rest assured that you're unlikely to deliver premature. Have doctor check your cervix at next visit, that is a greater predictor and will yield more info. ...Read more

The symptoms of my chest infection developed in a month from bloody mucus to sob n chest discomfort. Does that mean it'll take as long to heal?

Pneumonia: Chest infections or pneumonias can sometimes take weeks to months for the inflammation to go down. And even though the infection has been cleared, the symptoms can linger that long too. Whenver I blow my nose there's droplets of blood and bloody mucus in the tissue. Is this normal? Could it be a sign of infection or cancer?

Probably not: Especially in dry winter air, some blood when you blow your nose can be normal. If this is unusual for you, and if you have other symptoms (congestion, fatigue, drainage, etc.), it could be a symptom of sinus infection. It would be very rare for this symptom to mean you have cancer. A simple treatment would be to start moisturizing with saline spray and a little vaseline periodically. ...Read more
