More info needed: Are you coughing? Are you coughing up any blood or are you seeing blood streaked mucus (from irritation). You should gargle with some warm salt water and increase your clear fluids. Allergic rhinitis?: Such symptoms almost always are due either to an upper respiratory virus infection or allergy. Viral infections rarely last more than 1-2 weeks, and springtime is the peak period for allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, etc. So allergy is most likely. See a doctor: How long were you going to suffer with this? I would suggest going directly to an ear nose and throat doctor. In the meantime aggressive hydration with water or tea might be helpful. OTC meds such as mucinex (guaifenesin) may decrease the tenacity of the secretions. Antihistamines like Claritin may be of some benefit as well if allergy plays a role. But you deserve answers!
