Doubt IBS: Usually Irritable Bowel Syndrome causes cramping and either constipation or diarrhea. Not usual for it to cause burning pain or pain in back, or blood in stools. See your doctor and get checked, if symptoms persist, you may need to see a gastroenterologist. Good luck! ...Read more

Gastroenterologist: Your symptoms may be due to a thrombosed hemorrhoid or a rectal fissure. A rectal exam should be done. In the meantime take a stool softener, apply warm compresses to the anal area, and insert a glycerin or anusol suppository or ointment for easier bm and soothing of the discomfort. Keep the anal area clean after using a suppository or ointment. Avoid constipation by adding fiber. ...Read more
