Postmenop aldronate weekly 2 yrs and osteoporosis getting worse only in hips. Why would doctor prescripe 24 hr urine test and blood work?
Secondary causes: Hi. Your doc is being thorough, knowing that there are many causes of bone loss other than just postmenopausal osteoporosis. She/he is looking for conditions that may have specific treatments that could help prevent further bone loss. I would do the same thing. And practice fall-prevention if at all possible.
