Extremely fatigue ran blood test all in normal range except total protein 8.7, globulin slightly high, albumin boarder lined, is that why i'm tired?
I had a blood test and 2 things were higher than the cutoff. In the urinalysis the urn total protein was 19.0 mg/dl and the urn red blood count was 10 hpf. Any ideas on what this means?
More info needed.: If you were having a period when the urinalysis was done, the red cells and protein could be explained by that. But not so fast! red cells are not normally seen in the urine at this amount, and neither is protein. Depending on your age and overall health, these finding could be early warning signs for important concerns like kidney disease or even a cancer. Total protein 8.6 slightly elevated, globulin 4.2 (w/in normal range per lab. RDW a bit low 11, All CBC and other blood test normal. Multiple Myeloma?
Not the right test:
All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the results your provide are not indicative of any disease. However the tests are not the correct test for diagnosing multiple myeloma.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Im doing the 24 hr urine creatitine total protein test and a few blood test to check my liver and kindeys...I know the doctor suspects preeclampsia..But does it mean I for sure have it? Just because im doing test or is that why im doing them?
Proceed with caution: The tests you mention are a way to look for the early warning signs of a condition that is potentially deadly for you& baby. Preeclampsia(pe) can progress without obvious symptoms you would feel, so looking at the tests is a cautious way of preparing to act if specialized rx is needed. Many are tested that won't progress to pe & sometimes the tests are repeated over several days when needed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have headaches everyday, very dry irritated eyes and really bad itchy skin, had blood test and all that was high was alk phos and total protein, ?

e.R. Said hepatitis?
Let's try this...: I have only a little bit of the story you've shared. Perhaps it's time to see whether the ast and alt get back to normal after two weeks off alcohol and any not-totally-necessary meds you may be taking. If so, this is the start of a healthier life after alcohol. If not, the workup for virus infections, iron overload, wilson's, autoimmunity & need for exercise can begin. Good luck. ...Read more

Had C-reactive protein blood test. It shows my level is 1.55 ( normal is anything under .80). Is mine considered really high??
Depends: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, you did not provide the units of the result, however, it does not seem too high. Recently i've done a blood test in portugal, the results showed, placelets 148 10e9/l, ref 150-400, and protein 8.2 g/dl, ref 6.4-8.2, what means ?
So the condition is not serious if my blood test showed protein in the urine & Dr said to do another test in 6 months but prescribed no medication?
Proteinuria: Hi, how much protein did you have in ur Urine? Why are you taking Antibiotics, sometimes infections could cause some protein in urine. Also you have high blood pressure which if it's not well controlled could cause damage to the kidney and therefore Protein in urine, if the amount of protein is not significant in ur urine, repeating in in 3-6 months is a good plan. ...Read more
Blood results showing total protein at 87g/l and globulin at 39g/l with a A/G ratio of 1.2 , should I seek further test. cant afford to pay right now?
We normally see: results for total protein between 6 and 8.3 grams/deciliter for 87 g/l would be 8.7, I believe. And globulin at 39 g/l would be 3.9 g/dl: both are a little high. Causes of high protein are inflammation, infections or bone marrow disorder. You don't give me the albumin, the "A" in the A/G ratio. Your ratio is a little high (normal <1). While not urgent, I think this deserves further follow-up. ...Read more
