No: It is recommended that you test also at 24weeks which would be 6months. Rarely does the test become positive after this but on a few occasions seroconversion had taken up to a year to occur. Negative blood test for hiv. Possible that it hit window of seroconversion. How often do you see false negatives after 1-2 months?

Never in my career: False negative HIV means there is infection but the antibody test is negative. The situations where this occurs have to do with the timing of the test or continued risky behavior where a person is infected within days after the test. The home kits that use oral fluid are false negative 1 out of 12, according to cdc website on HIV testing. The blood test done at the right time is very accurate. ...Read more

Retest at 3&6 months: For HIV, it can take up to 6 months after exposure to develop the antibodies that are detected by the test. So retesting is recommended usually at 3 and 6 months post-exposure. For syphilis, antibodies can take several weeks to be produced, so again, if you are concerned, another retest in the future may be indicated. Testing for other STDs such as chlamydia and gonorrhea is recommended also. ...Read more
