Need More Info: Menopause can sometimes be diagnosed by labs, but they are not perfect & it is defined as no period in 1 year in the CORRECT clinical setting. It is not unusual for someone your age to be in perimenopaise to have a some breakthrough bleeding while the hormones settle down. Perimenopause: B"sd the main medical issue would be iron defiency anemia. Generaly this can be a problem at menarche (start up of menses) and as with you in peri-menopause. Gyn will work to limit bleeding. My recommendation is keep a check on blood count and iron levels to avoid need for IV iron, transfusion.
