Very low: A BHCG of 88 is very low indicating that you are not as far along as you think. A repeat test should be done to confirm that the bhcg is increasing normally ...Read more

I miscarried on 6/16 2014. I went to the dr. On 7/30- negative blood test. 8/7 negative home test. 8/16 & 8/17 positive test. How far I could I be?

Hard to be accurate: A pregnancy test will usually turn positive somewhere around 4 weeks (2 weeks after conception). So you probably weren't 4 weeks on 8/7, but became 4 weeks sometime between 8/7 and 8/16. So you're likely around 4-5 weeks. An ultrasound at 6+ weeks will give you a better idea. ...Read more

Think I may have had an early miscarriage how can I know for sure ? Will the blood test still show positive after a week later ?

Think I may have had an early miscarriage how can I know for sure ? Will the blood test still show positive after a week later ?

Maybe: It depends on how far along you were and how high the HCG was when you lost the pregnancy. HCG levels start dropping as soon as the embryo stops developing. How fast it becomes undetectable depends on how high it was when it started dropping and the sensitivity of the test. Hope this helps ...Read more

Not sure: Did you do a pregnancy test when it happened? If you did and it was positive, then yes, you did miscarry. If you did not do a test, then there is no way to know for sure. ...Read more

If I believe I had a miscarriage 3 months ago, how would my doctor tell if I had had a miscarriage? Blood test?

No way to tell: After 3 months there are no tests that would tell you if you had a miscarriage. The time for testing would have been at the time of the event. ...Read more

How soon can I request a blood test for pregnancy? I miscarried in november and am eager to know asap if I am pregnant again.

How soon can I request a blood test for pregnancy? I miscarried in november and am eager to know asap if I am pregnant again.

A day after missed: Peroid. A blood test may be positive as soon as a day after a missed period. A negtive test that early would not rule out pregnancy. It would be better to wait 4-5 days after missed period to do home test; using first morning urine and following the instructions in the package carefully. ...Read more

My dr confirmed I miscarried based a blood test, I have the paper work but I don't understand how he knows, it doesn't show my hcg levels?

See below: Ms. Kathryn 440: You have two related questions. It would be better to talk to your doctor for explanation. Blood HCG needs to be higher than 25 to diagnose pregnancy. It is not clear how a urine pregnancy test told you that you are 2-3 weeks pregnant. You may repeat the urine pregnancy test, be sure to follow the instructions for the test carefully. Better would be to see your doctor for a repeat blood test and if needed an ultrasound examination. ...Read more
