Don't worry: I'm glad you have somebody special. This happens to many men from time to time, especially after prolonged arousal. Nobody really understands why, but it's not something to worry about unless you have other symptoms / signs over at least two weeks. ...Read more

How to increase the amount of semen with chronic prostatitis?

How to increase the amount of semen with chronic prostatitis?

Prostatitis: The prostate gland accounts for about 2/3 of the volume of ejaculate. Chronic inflammation/infection may reduce this. Treating the inflammatory process and warm sitz baths for about 15-20 minutes twice a day may help, but beyond these measures it is difficult to predict how to increase volume of semen. Good luck. ...Read more

Can prostatitis result in yellow semen?

Possibly: Pain in the perineum, the region between the anus and the scrotum, frequency, urgency and slowing of the urinary stream with a possible fever are consistent with acute prostatitis. I have prostatitis. I want to know does prostatitis effect semen stream, because I have slow semen stream, but urine stream is fine.

I have prostatitis. I want to know does prostatitis effect semen stream, because I have slow semen stream, but urine stream is fine.

Yes it does: The prostate is very involved in making up the semen - so if you've been told you have prostatitis then indeed I would expect some abnormalities until your condition is cured. It looks like you're on levofloxacin, which is good medicine for prostate infections - I hope your doc cultured you to be 100% sure. Hang in there - I think you will get better but it may take some time. ...Read more

I took meds for prostatitis & I am feeling fine. yesterday, I ejaculated some drops of semen went to anus. Can I get bacteria if semen goes to anus?

Fistula possible: To confirm- you have a chronic prostatitis for which you take abx. When you ejaculate, semen comes out of your anus- if this is the case, you need to see a urologist, to determine if you have a fistula. Normally, there is NO opening between the anus and your prostate; a chronic prostate infection could have caused the opening, or else the opening was present and is now infecting the prostate. ...Read more

Here are some...: Known to us, many men have been labeled with the diagnosis of chronic prostatitis due to their irritatiive voiding symptoms although most of them may have no documented infection, but have some irritation to nerve-endings to local tissues. To deduce what should be done, more info is needed. How to get these done correctly, go to articles in http://formefirst.com/onBPH-LUTS-VoidingTrouble.html. ...Read more

Urine cultures came back negative, and a semen culture also came back negative. How certain can I be that I don't have Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis?

CBP: That's a very good question. CBP is difficult to treat. The prostate is enveloped in a capsule which makes it difficult for antibiotics to penetrate. In general 3 weeks of antibiotic course is used but there are doctors who treat far longer than this due to symptoms not abating. Prostatic massage with fluid collection can be done in addition to what you mentioned. Are you symptomatic? ...Read more

Prostatitis can be found without physical checkup? Had semen analysis and pus cells 10-15hpf r found. Doctor said this is due to prostatitis.

Physical exam: I would expect a physician who's talking about me having prostatitis to give me a rectal, and probably to check the first bit of urine i pass after the rectal. Diagnosing prostatitis / prostate pain / prostate infection / non-infectious prostate troubles is tricky. If no bacteria, sometimes something as simple as a stool softener helps. Good luck. ...Read more
