Blood cloots skin injections and oral medication will I have same benefits?

For blood clots: Injections are more consistent and effective, if you can be consistent with them of course. With oral medications they can be very effective (newer prothrombin inhibitors) or ineffective/ labor intensive (warfarin). The newer oral medicaitons are reliable though, with the only caveat being they do not have an "antidote" to reverse the anticoagulation if there is bleeding issues. ...Read more

Ans: You're taking lithium, Concerta, aripiprazole and Lamotrigine, which interact to cause side effects and make clinical picture hard to understand. Why are you taking two mood stabilizers? Also, Concerta (dose unknown) can trigger mania/hypomania. Hard to interpret lithium level with limited clinical information. Review meds with prescribing doctor to simplify regimen if possible. Heard it's beneficial to leave the umbilical cord attached to baby for 3 to 5 min so blood can go back to baby. True, benefits to doing this?  dangers?

Maybe, maybenot: The idea is there is baby blood in the placenta & it is a good source of iron. Babies don't make much new blood in the first months so their level starts out higher than adults to begin with & normally falls as baby grows. The problem with this move is you can let too much blood go across & babies blood will be too thick & could lead to kidney damage or stroke. I'd avoid it. ...Read more

I recently got my blood tested and my doctor says I have ab type blood. What is the rarest type and are there benefits about ab blood?

Fun to know: Depending on the population, maybe 1% of folks have blood type ab. There's actually nothing either good or bad. You'll be able to take any ABO type in an emergency, but this is basically never going to happen. If you're a "she" and plan to be a mother, you won't have ABO antibodies against baby -- again, this is never a major problem. "diet / health advice for ab blood type" is phony.
