Had blood and urinalysis 7/15. Blood work was all normal but urine showed creatinine level of 409, trace protein, trace leukocyte esterase, WBC, hyali?
Stop worrying: I understand you have fibromuscular dysplasia of the renal arteries and hope this can be addressed. The urine creatinine, trace protein and hyaline casts are non-issues, the trace of leukocyte esterase and white cells (unless very numerous or you have symptoms of infection) are likely contamination, and if your physician is not concerned, I would not be either. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My blood and urine test result are worrying me. it shows high Uric acid levels and traces of blood in urine.
See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, uric acid levels in urine are not meaningful, it is the blood level that counts. A few red cells in urine are not abnormal, and trace may be the same. It would be prudent to discuss the issue with your doctor who ordered the tests. ...Read more
Need to repeat: If you had your period when urinalysis was done, it could have contaminated the urine sample and you should repeat the test. If this not the case, the urinalysis should still be repeated. If the blood and protein is persistent and more than trace, you should see a nephrologist who can microscopically analyze blood to see if source is kidney. If so, you should be evaluated for glomerulonephritis. ...Read more
Urine analysis for UTI showed trace bacteria and small amount of protein. What can cause protein?
From a Urinalysis test, a high protein count, with high(ish) numbers of squamous cells and UA hyaline casts were found. My urine has cloudy and odor.
See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, squamous cells suggest contamination of urine with vaginal material and a fresh specimen should be examined. Cloudy urine that is odorous suggests an infection. Please consult your doctor for clarification. ...Read more
Not usually: Urine is made from water and waste products the blood stream delivers to the kidneys. In effect, the kidneys are giant filters, but the blood vessels pass through microscopic structures which do the filtering. The blood vessels and urine vessels do not mix; there is a thin layer of cells which separate the two, but allow the transfer of waste chemicals in the blood into the urine. ...Read more
