Usually: When only one foot is swollen, it's an indication of something wrong with the foot, ankle or lower leg that's swollen. Blood pressure can lead to swelling if untreated, but usually in both feet, not one. Being overweight can make treating whatever is wrong more difficult, but it's not the cause of swelling. I suggest you either consult with your pmd or see a dpm about the swelling. Good luck! ...Read more
I am on blood thinners and Today I noticed a very tender bruise on the bottom of my left foot. It feels hard to touch could it be a clot?
Bruise&BloodThinners: Blood thinners are often used to treat those w/blood clots & to prevent strokes. However, they do increase risk of bruising & bleeding. Assuming taken as directed (and at therapeutic dose), it's unlikely for tender bruise to represent a clot since that's what blood thinners prevent. Still it's a good idea to get examined by prescribing doc & reassessed if continued need for blood thinner. ...Read more

See below: Based on the limited information you are able to supply, I do not feel the symptoms you describe are related to your Ureaplasma infection but may be related to the doxycycline especially if your symptoms began after you started taking the medication. Slight tingle in left hand (pink&ring)tingles in left foot too/ clean blood work and cat scan! Super nervous. I have been getting allergy/sinus headach?
Don't let your nerves get the best of you. What body part got the cat scan and why?
I would see an orthopedist since there is hand and foot involvement and let them conclude if you have isolated nerve compressions i.E carpal and tarsal tunner syndrome or some radiculpathy more proximally i.E the back, or some systemic disorder. I do not think the sinus headache is related. Feel better. ...Read more
Havin ongoing chest pain, neck dwn to left hand pain, left foot and lightheaded....seen 2 cardio....done ecg, ecko, blood wrk all normal wat could wrg?
Multiple things: You might need an MRI brain. Multiple Sclerosis I've seen present this way, tho rare, but I gotta think this in a young female till I have other answers. Could be a complex of other issues, including spinal nerve involvement. Forget the cardiologists on this one....sounds like they've done their jobs and ruled out cardiac. See someone that looks at the 'big picture' (a primary). We're worthy. ...Read more
My left hand keeps falling asleep. I have syringomyelia diagnosed age 4 (13 now) I tweaked my back while in the pool last week both knees became stiff the full length of both my legs were tingly/tender and my left foot was asleep. My neurosurgeon released
Your symptoms sound like more than muscle strain and
are consistent with compression or injury to the spinal cord or major spinal nerves possibly from a herniated disc in the lumbar area. Without more information regarding location of your syringomyelia, it is hard to say if that is related. You need to be seen on an urgent basis and may need MRI. Your neurosurgeon knows you best. ...Read more
