Nosebleeds: Are you sure the blood isn't coming from your nose. Nosebleeds can definitely occur insidiously at night. I would encourage you to take a look with a mirror in your nose and mouth (though it's unlikely from your mouth as you would often see saliva too). Also have someone take a good look around your scalp to make sure there isn't a "hidden" lesion bleeding intermittently either.

Bleeding gums?: This usually means bleeding gums, so your first move should be to see a dentist. If gum inflammation doesn't explain it, your nose and sinuses are the next most likely possibility. I'm guessing the dentist will find the explanation, but if not, see a doctor. In the meantime, don't be overly worried. Most likely it is nothing dangerous. Good lucik!

Concussion & blood: Probably not related but you should seek an immediate evaluation to include a head ct scan and mri. If that checks out ok, the source of the bleeding should be identified. A comprehensive evaluation is warranted.

Overnight: Overnight a minimal amount of blood can mix with your saliva and drool out of your mouth and onto the pillow case. If everything else is fine, this is not uncommon and nothing to be concerned about.

Yes: Don't use tips in the ear canal. Bleeding could be from irritation of the canal. I suppose you are lucky it is not painful...

The past couple mornings I have woken up with blood mixed with drool on my pillow. I'm only 20 but I smoke. Why is this happening? I am concerned

Blood not normal: Not sure why, but smoking will not help. If you have trouble taking deep breath or cough you may have lung infection as well. Or if sinuses really dry blood can come from nose.

Dental issue: It sounds like you should contact the child's dentist. If it's very worrisome, I would call the emergency line today, or if you think it can wait until tomorrow, I would call the dentist tomorrow morning. You can never be too careful with kids and dental issues.

Bleeding can be a: Sign of a few different issues. The most common of which would be periodontitis. The best plan would be to have dentist perform an initial evaluation & then as needed (which seems to be the case in your situation as you describe persistent universal gingival bleeding post brushing) they will refer you to a periodontist, who is a gum specialist, if it is not determined to be a more serious cause.

OUCH!: Tongues can be especially troublesome because they never stop moving and they are loaded with blood vessels! Most wounds will heal on their own, but you can help stop the bleeding by wetting a tea bag and applying it with pressure to the wound. If the pain does not subside, or bleeding doesn't stop, call your dentist for evaluation.

Here are some. ..: Did you reach orgasm? If so, you just had hematospermia (blood in semen), which occurs to few men; although it usually poses no serious concern, it has not only annoyed & even terrified the affected men but dismayed & frustrated professionals because the extensive experience of decades failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Yet, it has been often treated with antibiotics & reassurance.

Wimpy virus: It is important to remember that viruses like hepc, HIV and others are strings of proteins that are connected by very weak bonds. They require many things to stay active and need living cells to reproduce and survive. Unless there was gross blood, mucous or some other organic substance from her body on that door and it got into your penis, the odds are very unlikely.
