Depending on your age and use of tobacco, if this recurs, it should be evaluated by a urologist (if over 35 y/o) or a nephrologist. Probably OK: Positive urine dip stik for Hemoglobin is common. Particularly if you were stillon your period. This also occurs with NSAIDS and blood thinners being most common. Not to overlook serious problems, I will repeat the test on 2-3 weeks and be guided by results. In your case at 45 repeat urinalysis in 2-3 weeks is best advice. If the positive test persists, more complete evaluation is next. ...Read more
