Can't tell.: No way to tell from the info. If there is truly blood then IBD must be a consideration, but plenty of people with IBS have blood related to constipation or hemorrhoids or another common cause. Best to see your doc for an exam. The real test is some sort of endoscopy with a direct look at the inside of your intestine and consideration of biopsy. ...Read more

Many causes : There are many causes of stomach cramps, Diarrhoea and blood in stools. If the culture was negative have the stool examined for parasites like Giardia, amoeba and repeat the culture if necessary also looking for campylobacter and other organisms. Dx- Gastroenteritis: Rx-Stop all food and only drink increasing amounts of Pedialyte or Gatoraid.When hungry(tomorrow) eat only simple carbs like toast,potatoes,w rice,to satisfy hungar.Continue to drink lots of fluids,as above & Tylenol for Head and joint pains.If not better by day 3,c ur doc. ...Read more

No: There is no test that I know of that is 100% accurate for any medical condition. There is no specific test that will rule in or rule out Crohn's flare ups. Commonly used, ESR and CRP are non specific inflammation tests. Patients with Crohn's still develop gastroenteritis or colitis like diseases that are commonly assigned and treated as flare ups. ...Read more
