Unrelated: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, pilonidal sinus and elevated RBC count are not related. Next time you get your blood count done, make sure you are well hydrated, drink enough water so that your urine is watery, clear and colorless. ...Read more

I have sinus infection. Blowing out a lot of blood and also nauseas. Should I be concerned? What should I do?
If a chronic source of infection such as sinus, gradually became worse and germs entered blood, how long could you potentially be feeling ill?
Depends on treatment: When germs enter the blood stream to make you sick, it is called septicemia, a potentially serious condition. The diagnosis is by blood culture and it requires hospital admission for IV antibiotics and close monitoring until cultures become negative. Treatment for such a condition is 10-14 days, not all of which needs to be in hospital. Feel better:) ...Read more

No way to know here: In the limited amount of space we have, there' no way to know for sure. Consider HealthTap Prime or talking to your doctor to go over details.
