Blood in semen it started one for a couple of days last year then stopped. Is it a result of masterbation
Blood : Blood in semen could occur as a result of trauma or a medical condition. Semen and fluids are ejaculated from the prostate, then go through a series of tubes in the genitalia and join at the urethra for execution from the penis. Throughout the genitilia, there are many areas and blood vessels that could be broken, leading to blood in the urine or semen. Items that could cause trauma and blood in the semen could be aggressive sex or masterbation, interrupted sex, kidney stones, prostatitis or a procedural biopsy on the testicles/kidney/bladder. Medical conditions that can cause blood in the semen include: side effects of blood thinners, stds such as chlamydia/genital herpes/warts, prostate cancer or bladder cancer. Blood in semen is rarely indicative of a serious medical condition. See your doctor if you experience ongoing blood in the semen or urine. ...Read more

Having little amounts of blood in semen, recurring every few weeks ,for past 8 months. Have got complete testing for gross hematuria last year .Worry?
Can blood in semen be due to bloody urine? Had hematuria few months ago( got complete evaluation).
Now, bloody semen. could it mean theres hematuria?
Unlikely: It's unlikely for the blood in your semen to be due to hematuria unless you also urinated blood just before ejaculation Usually blood in the semen comes from the epididymis/prostate/urethra and not the bladder although since urine and semen both pass through the urethra it is not impossible for a little blood from the bladder to find it's way in the semen. I would see your Dr for a urinalysis. ...Read more

Uncertain: Testicular Cancer shows up as a lump in the testicle; this can be easily felt with the hand as a growth or swelling of the Testis. Female, 34. Blood specks only in seminal discharge after intercourse. Normal pap smear. Causes? Is it that my husband could have blood in semen?
Hard to say/depends,: It's hard to say what this is without more evidence of a pattern. It appears non-specific and might just be from physical contact during intercourse. If there is more evidence of blood like blood during urination, then a physical exam with lab work up is warranted. Otherwise it shouldn't be anything to worry about, especially in light of the normal Pap smear. ...Read more
