When, my nose has bleed I let it bleed because I hate taste of blood in mouth. Is it bad not to tilt your head back?
Quite the contrary: You should not tilt your head back, since you could choke on the blood. But you don't have to let it bleed, either. Pinch your nose, right at the middle of the bridge, and keep a firm grip for 10 minutes (watch a clock, it's longer than you think). The pressure will stop the bleeding. I believe I suffer with aerosinisitus, is there any treatment I can try. On decent had terrible pain in forehead and blood in mouth next morning.?
WilliamTellOfFlight?: An arrow in the sinus must be pretty painful! In the other kind of sinusitis you're best preparing the day before and of your flight with a decongestant pill and spray (many OTC).That way the sinuses have their best chance of staying open so their pressures can equalize on ascent and descent. Same thing afterwards-but if it becomes a recurring problem despite those efforts, best to see an ENT doc. ...Read more

Not that unusual:

Got hit in my face 3-4 days ago. Now have black eye. Bleed a bit from the nose then stop. Now see mucus/salive with small blood through mouth split. Er?
Nose or eye: There could be two reasons for this finding. First is that the trauma that you sustained could have also caused damage to the inner lying tissues of the nose or it can be due to the fact that the nasolacrimal duct which drains tears from our eye is draining blood from the eye. Need an eye exam.: It's prudent that you get examined by an ophthalmologist as soon as possible. The small red spot that you are describing sounds like a sub conjunctival hemorrhage which is due to a blood vessel that was damaged under the white membrane of the eye. In itself it's not dangerous but trauma to the eye may be associated with glaucoma, retinal tear, blood in the anterior chamber known as hyphema, etc. ...Read more
