Unlikely : Glaucoma usually causes visual loss over decades. Is sounds like your mother had end stage glaucoma which just ran its course although more quickly due to non compliance taking her glaucoma medication. ...Read more

Talk to your doctor : You may want to see a neuro -ophthalmologist. Your symptoms are very concerning. It's possible to have normal exam and negative MRI and still have something wrong. Doubtful: Sounds like you need a good eye examination by an ophthalmologist. I bet you can see well. You don't describe any actual eye disease so i suspect you just have inadequate glasses. ...Read more
