Pain in arm after: In sticking in the needle the person who did it possibly damaged some underlying structures or caused some blood to leak and the leak, even though small, may be compressing some underlying structures. If you do need further draws soon, tell the person to draw it on the other side or from a different site. And talk to your doc about it today! ...Read more

Venous reflux test: Recommend that you look into your vein disease further w/ a venous reflux ultrasound test to assess your varicose veins & to look into venous insufficiency as a possible cause. An ultrasound can also assess for other possibilities such as ruptured Baker's cyst, hematoma, or tumor such as sarcoma. If US negative then consider a MRI of the leg joints / muscle. Blood drawn 3 days ago. Bruise with dark purple line through it at draw site. Muscles hurt on that arm, especially upper arm. Should I worry?
No: This won't affect the deep veins, where clots are dangerous. Our bodies are designed to withstand a considerable amount of day-to-day trauma. My daughters arm bruised pretty bad from donating plasma. Tech missed vein and injected saline into her muscle tissue. I'm worried about bruising?
Doubtful.: A rash probably is not a blood vessel unless you have a group of spider veins in that area which would give the appearance of spider legs. Varicose veins would be raised, blue and grape-like in appearance. A red rash doesn't sound like veins. You should see a vein specialist for an evaluation. ...Read more
