3 years ago I got diagnosed with blood clots...I'm on no medication for them currently...I'm suffering with pins n needles in my heAd regularly??
Unrelated: Don't know where you had the blood clots, but you received treatment and stopped already, pins and needles feeling in your head can be due to nerve affection, not due to vascular problem, unless the nerves in that area become ischemic (devoid of blood supply) but hence the symptom would be rather different pain sensation, which isn't your case. See your doctor who may refer you to a neurologist ...Read more

My arm swelled up after I had blood drawn. I understand the blood did not clot under the skin. Did my nurse fail to do her job adequately?
Not necessarily: Most commonly it is the blood Seeps under the skin, thus causing the swelling form the needle site. Adequate pressure post phlebotomy is important, especially in a person like yourself who now has a history of this. Be sure to get a good "pressure bandage" placed on any draw site I the future. Other factors can worsen this for ex, Aspirin, blood thinners, or NSAID use prior to blood draws. ...Read more

Real bad head ache and 5 weeks pregnant lower back pain and cramping and blood clots the size of golf balls?
44 year-old female with a history of DVT and stroke; on Warfarin daily now with right leg swelling and bilateral leg pain.....?
Need good ultrasound study and a cardiac echo: Was there a reason found for the stroke? A clot in the leg may travel to the lung, but should not normally be able to get to the brain. The most likely reason it did is a defect in the heart. An echocardiogram will help sort the heart out, and can guide a repair. A good ultrasound of the legs is necessary to see if there is a recurrent clot. If not, another consideration is Post-Thrombotic Syndrome - failure o the valves in the leg veins from scarring after DVT. Patients with DVT need to wear compression hose daily for at least 2 yrs after DVT to minimize the risk of PTS. ...Read more
