Blood Clot Uterus While Pregnant
16 weeks pregnant with blood clot at anterior wall of uterus had bleeding thrice. Now on progesterone 200mg twice for 15 days. What are the risks&solution?
Subchorionic bleed: Sounds like you have a subchorionic or subamniotic hematoma. Most of these will resolve over time. If you are a smoker, have other chronic health issues, it could get larger and cause a placental abrution. Mostly it requires close follow up and i would avoid intercourse until it resolves. ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
My ultrasound today and showed a blood clot in my uterus. My period is tomorrow. Can they tell if that is your period starting? Pregnancy test was neg
Pelvic ultrasound: Ultrasound cannot predict when your period will start. If there was something seen inside the uterus right before an expected cycle, it could be a blood clot. It could also be something else. What was seen could certainly be blood or debris indicating the beginning of a period, but I would encourage follow up to be certain that something else is not going on inside your uterus. ...Read more
I am 9 weeks pregnant and have had vaginal bleeding due to a blood clot near uterus. Can being sexually aroused hurt my baby or cause me to bleed.
No, see OB.: Sexual arousal or even having sex will not harm the baby. Sex may cause complications in case the placenta is low in the uterus. Occasional mild bleeding in pregnancy is not uncommon. If is persists, you should consult your OB. I trust that for the sake of your and your baby's health you are seeing an OB. ...Read more

Cause of miscarriage: Most miscarriages are caused by genetic abnormalities in the fetus and are unavoidable. In your case, it is possible that the bicornuate uterus may have caused it, though many women with this abnormality can carry a pregnancy to term. Lupus anticoagulant can cause miscarriages but it fairly unusual this early on. Unless there are other medical indications, there is no reason to test with one loss. ...Read more

I had a miscarriage. Now they are saying I have blood clots in my uterus and want to do another d&c is this a normal option?
Unclear question: A certain amount of bleeding occurs with d&c and may form clots. It should clear out in a few days. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. ...Read more
Probably nothing: Most women see clots with their periods. If they are really too large, you might be losing too much blood and be anemic, though. If you're pale, tired, short of breath, this could be the case. Also if your periods are very long (a week or more) or you bleed all month, this might mean your uterus is bleeding. If you have any of these symptoms, you should be checked by a professional. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is it ok to take the pill to stop bleeding with implanon if I've had a blood clot prior in uterus 6wks post partum? This was 3 yrs ago I had the clot.
Uncertain : I'm not certain what type of clot you mean. If you just passed a clot with your period it is no problem but, if it was a clot in a blood vessel, you should not take any estrogen due to the increased risk of blood clots in the vessels and the lungs. This includes birth control pills other than the mini-pill which only contains progesterone and won't help the bleeding. Hope this helps. ...Read more
