Most likely it is not related directly it could be inflamed vein where they placed the needle, it could be a clot if they place a central line for your blood transfusion
if there is no swelling in the arm most likely it is not clot

You probably mean fistula. For hemodialysis? Blood clots are common and can be removed with a balloon catheter, by a trained interventional doc. Usually no obvious reason but anatomy, blood flow and hypercoagulability testing are checked. Usually all tests normal.
