How long does it take for a blood blister on lip to go away?

1 wk: I am assuming this was caused by accidental trauma as a lip bite. Be careful not to rebite the area which is common, due to the slight swelling.

What causes blood blister on roof of mouth and how long to heal?

What causes blood blister on roof of mouth and how long to heal?

Cause?: The most likely cause would be some irritation, perhaps from eating a hard or sharp piece of food, or accidental abrasion while brushing your teeth. However, without actually being able to see you clinically, we can't give you an accurate diagnosis. It should be gone in about one week. If it lasts more than two weeks, make sure you have it diagnosed by your dentist!

I have a blood blister on my lip that appear and started growing it has two white circles inside is it something to worry about?

? Lip lesion: As described, it is tough to know what this is. A growing blister with white spots in it? ... not sure what to make of that. May be a spider bite? Infectious cyst? Have it looked at and then you will know what it is and how to care for it. Best wishes.

I had a huge "blood blister" on my lip, I had it removed by getting a pain blocker and it cut off, any other less painful way to get it off again?

Recurrence?: I presume here it has recurred? Did the physician who removed it have an idea what it was due to if not from a burn?

Could be worrisome: You don't list your age, but skin cancers are pretty common on lips. If you are not continuing to injure them, by for example, habitually chewing on them, you need to have a doctor, dermatologist, or even dentist check this.

I have a tiny white lump on the inside of me cheek right beside where I bite my lip. Doesn't hurt What could it be a week ago had a blood blister to?

Scar: This is most likely a healing reaction, in other words, a potential scar. Unfortunately it tempts you to continue to bite the area, both intentionally and unintentionally. If you want it to heal, avoid doing that. A blood blister is a superficial bruise. The tissue was hurt and now it's trying to heal.

My 4 year old has what looks like a blood blister on lower bottom inside of lip. Should we ask her pediatrician? Been there for a couple months.

My 4 year old has what looks like a blood blister on lower bottom inside of lip. Should we ask her pediatrician? Been there for a couple months.

Yes: Could be a hemangioma (blood vessel abnormality), or chronic injury from biting her lip, or other cause. Best to get it checked by your pediatrician. Even if it is completely harmless, if it gets in the way of her teeth every time she takes a bite, it will continue to get irritated.

Oral mucosa cyst: You may also want to see an ENT or oral surgeon. These lesions often need to be removed to reduce the chance that they will come back.
